In LOUSY CARTER, David Krumholtz (OPPENHEIMER) stars as a ne'er-do-well literature professor adrift on a soulless college campus who learns he only has six months to live. With the clock ticking, will he change his ways? Probably not. Auteur writer/director Bob Byington’s slyly subversive film also features comedy all-stars Martin Starr, Olivia Thirlby, Jocelyn DeBoer, Macon Blair, and Stephen Root.
About two thirds of Bob Byington's LOUSY CARTER was shot at the Baker School, home to both Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and The Rosette. Join us for this special screening of the film followed on location where it was shot. But this event is much more than a screening. After the screening there will be a Q&A with the director, Andrew Bujalski from Support the Girls, Computer Chess, Mutual Appreciation, as well as select cast and crew. We’ll also experience a walking tour of the filming locations with Bob and producer/Alamo founder/Baker School owner Tim League including with a stop at The Press Room where guests can print their own letterpress limited edition Lousy Carter print.
