OVERVIEW OF THE SPACES

A red neon ROSETTE sign marks the exterior entrance to the venue, located in the northwest corner of the Baker Center. Outside is a welcoming patio area, with picnic tables and benches under a towering pecan tree and festive string lighting. Guests enter into the lobby/box office area and proceed down the hallway gallery, where they can access the theater or continue past it to the lounge and gallery. Stairs lead up to additional lounge space as well as the balcony section of the venue. (Please note: the second floor lounge area and balcony section are NOT wheelchair accessible).

A set of doors lead from the lounge into the hallways of the Baker Center’s lower level, a common area still lined with lockers from the many decades the building served as a public school. The hallways contain several restrooms, including two ADA/Inclusive, two women’s, and two men’s.

VENUE SEATING

The Rosette can accommodate custom floor plans, making it easy to plan a layout best suited for the event. The venue can comfortably accommodate a total of 100 guests (85 seated). The Rosette team will work with you to come up with the best layout for your needs.

WHAT’S INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL?

Spaces: The Rosette includes access to the the Theater, Lounge, Gallery, Patio, and Green Room. Additional spaces Cafetorium and the Secret Garden are available separately.

Promo: We’ll share your event in our newsletter, website, and social media marketing.

Support: Our team is here to help you have a successful event, and will happily assist with pre-event planning and box office ticketing, as well as provide onsite venue and technology support.

Staffing: We can also help with turnkey staffing (i.e. technology crew, lobby support, etc.) and connect you with trusted vendors.

State-of-the-Art Production: We have everthing you need built in and at your finger tips from lights, sound, multi-track recording to broadcast, livestreaming, podcasting, and video projection.

CORE VALUE & RESTRICTIONS

The Rosette is created and operated by the youth-services and arts nonprofit Austin Classical Guitar (ACG), and is a performing arts venue dedicated to serving the Austin community. Our priority is to create a welcoming environment for all members of the community to experience and enjoy the performing arts. Private events such as weddings, birthday parties, and corporate functions are also welcome. The Rosette/ACG welcomes events that align with our values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We do not rent the space for events or entities that promote discrimination, hate speech, or divisive rhetoric.

CONTENT GUIDELINES

Topics related to politics, religion, or erotic themes may be present as part of an artistic work or discussion, but The Rosette is not a venue for events where politics, religion, or eroticism is the central focus. This includes events, for example, such as partisan political gatherings, religious services, or erotically explicit productions. ACG reserves the right to review content to ensure alignment with these guidelines before approving a rental.
