Friends in music and service for nearly twenty years, John Henry McDonald and Matt Hinsley have used intention, awareness, and dream, to attract beauty and fulfillment, and have found kinship and learning together along the way. Join us for an afternoon of sharing about the power of practicing invisible things like spirit, essence, and love. Bring a notepad and pen. Hinsley’s book, Form & Essence: A Guide to Practicing Truth will be available for purchase and signing. This is a free event, but seating is limited.

Featuring the exquisite Spanish interpretations Pepe is beloved for, this concert is the culmination of a unique collaboration between one of the great guitarists of our time and emerging talents whose artistry is just beginning to blossom.

An Unseasonably Funny Tragedy from Austin's newest New Works company. All happy families are the same. This unhappy family is on the brink of falling apart. But when a stranger, no ties to any of them, winds up spending Christmas with them, they become that tight knit family again in a terrible, strange, and roundabout way.

We’ll share beautiful stories and inspiring plans, including the latest details on our deep investments in Title 1 schools and the Juvenile Justice system.

Norway-based guitarist, composer, and improviser Randall Avers is one of the most creative guitarists of his generation. Over the last year, Randall has been asking friends to write music for him and this concert will feature some of these friendship songs, improvisations and masterworks.

Golden Hornet presents String Quartet Smackdown IX featuring Invoke String Quartet
Golden Hornet's String Quartet Smackdown is a bracketed, NCAA basketball-style tournament competition which brings original four-minute string quartet compositions head-to-head in front of a live, participatory audience. It’s like NCAA March Madness for the ears!

ACG Originals: Phantom of the Opera with Sandy Yamamoto, Annie Jacobs-Perkins & Moontower Guitar Duo
Get ready for an epic production, co-presented with the Austin Chamber Music Center, as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 1925 silent film classic! Experience Lon Chaney’s iconic portrayal of the fiend haunting the Paris Opera House, accompanied by a brand new score by Austin-based composer Matthew Lyons. Matthew, alongside his Moontower Guitar Duo partner Stephen Krishnan, virtuoso violinist Sandy Yamamoto, and cellist Annie Jacobs-Perkins, will bring new life to this timeless tale of murder, mystery, and mayhem.

Tammie Brown returns to her home state of Texas to celebrate 25 years and her special jubilee show. Featuring fellow RuPaul's Drag Race Alum Cynthia Lee Fontaine. Two shows: Friday and Saturday.

Alex Coke & Carl Michel Sextet Album Release Performance
Following the success of their first two albums (The Emissary and Emergence), the Alex Coke-Carl Michel Sextet continues its creative evolution. Their new release, Situation is an inspiring approach to the jazz continuum, a memorable outing by a group with its own highly appealing musical identity. The Alex Coke & Carl Michel Sextet, features Coke-flute/tenor sax, Michel-guitar, Elaine Barber-concert harp, Bob Hoffnar-pedal steel guitar, James Suter-bass, Carolyn Trowbridge-vibes.

An Evening with the Paramount Story Wranglers
Join the Paramount Story Wranglers for an evening celebrating our favorite stories written by Central TX third grade students. The Story Wranglers are an ensemble of adult actors, musicians, and improvisors that transform stories written by elementary students from the page to the stage. Think SNL in the hands of 9 year-olds. This RARE opportunity to see the Story Wranglers perform outside of their typical school cafetorium setting is perfect for anyone that has never seen the program in action, someone who wants to bring the program to their local school, anyone who is interested in joining the ensemble, somebody looking to support the program, or anyone looking for a funny (and inspiring) evening of free theatre! All ages welcome.

ACGtalks: The Phantom Reborn
In February ACG and Austin Chamber Music Center will join forces for an epic new production of Phantom of the Opera, Lon Chaney’s 1925 silent film classic of murder, mystery, and mayhem. Join ACG Artistic Director Joe Williams, superstar violinist (and ACMC’s new Artistic Director) Sandy Yamamoto, and composer Matthew Lyons as they discuss the project and the process of re-imagining an iconic film through a brand new score, 100 years later.
Tamir Kalifa with Feelings Small and Claire Glass
Tamir Kalifa, award-winning photojournalist and member of Austin’s Mother Falcon, will be debuting original music inspired by his experiences behind the camera. Six years in the making, this will be Tamir’s first public presentation of “Witness,” a multimedia performance of story, song and photography. The concert will be a special preview for a small audience in The Rosette’s intimate theater before the album’s release later this year. The afternoon will also feature music by longtime friends and collaborators Feeling Small, the current song outfit for Chase Weinacht (of Marmalakes), and a solo set by Claire Glass (Claire Puckett of Hikes and Mother Falcon).

Sister Songs kicks off its new cabaret performance series with the Moliter sisters in concert. Through musical theater songs and standards, twin sister vocalists Elizabeth and Laura share stories of the lives they’ve lived and of new life on the horizon. ACG Originals: Cuatro Elementos with Azul Barrientos & Joseph Palmer
To kick off our ACG Originals series we present a powerful collaboration between the extraordinary Mexican folk singer Azul Barrientos and the dynamic Austin-based classical guitarist Joseph Palmer.

Work(s) In Progress: a MISCAST Cabaret
For one night only, the young adult company of Speedrun Studios laughs in the face of "type casts" and gender, with a musical theatre concert featuring songs from the roles we would never usually audition for. From gender-bent Broadway showstoppers to any excuse to play outside of your perceived "type", book your seats for a night full of laughter, incredible talent, and the announcement of Speedrun's 2025 season of shows.

3rd Annual Golden Hornet Whoop-De-Doo
A fun filled evening that includes dinner, cocktails, wine and non-alcoholic beverages, a print your own poster experience at the adjoining Press Room letterpress studio, a live musical performance by Graham Reynolds, a conversation about film composing and editing between Graham and Oscar-nominated film editor Sandra Adair, and the Austin premiere of the long-lost, recently discovered Clara Bow short film THE PILL POUNDER with a sweeping new string quartet score by Golden Hornet Young Composer alumni RIya Kumar.
