Join us for a very special ACGtalks when Matt Hinsley will interview Nelson Mock to explore an extraordinary tale of guitar and boundless determination spanning the great State of Texas and three generations. This story travels from Mexico City, to Edinburg, Alpine, and Austin, Texas, and all across Europe.

Matt was in Marfa when he was introduced by a friend to Nelson’s brother Julian. What he learned that day about a vast hidden history of guitar education, performance, and publishing in Texas totally blew his mind, including the fact that a grandson had been through the ACG partner program at McCallum High School, and had recently finished an internship at ACG.

This experience will feature plenty of show and tell, including a complete collection of ‘Classical Guitar International’ magazine, published by the Mock Family in the 1970’s and 80’s.
